New Apprentices
"All cats old enough to catc their own prey, gather beneath the Moss Stone for a clan meeting!" Jaystar called. "Today we have two new apprentices, Cherry and Mouse. Cherry and Mouse, from this moment on until you recieve your warrior names, you shall be known as Cherrypaw and Mousepaw. Cherrypaw's mentor will be Whirlstorm. Mousepaw's mentor will be Clovermoon."

Sparrowtail and Shadowfrost dipped their heads in a greeting to the new apprentices.

Moonpaw looked at the two new cats. They're both gray, quite a coincidence that this entire clan is made up of gray cats, Moonpaw thought. But she was to shy to go up and greet them because first of all, she hadn't really made friends in this clan, and two, they might not like her.

Brookfrost padded over to Moonpaw."Moonpaw can you go clean the elders den,Echopaw dident when i asked her yesterday."
ReplyDeleteMoonpaw's ears lowered. "Yes Brookfrost," she murmured and with her head low, she padded to the elder's den. She saw Quialfall basking in the sun and quickly went in. She quickly gathered up all the dirty moss and tossed it into the clearing. She quickly fetched more and molded it into a nest for Quailfall. She exited the den and picked up the dirty moss. Jaw's full of the moss, she padded out into the forest, looking for the nearest pond. As she found one, she tossed the moss in and quickly took it out, cleaning it. She sighed and laid down by the pond, looking into the gray reflection of her. Why did StarClan make everything so gray? It makes the day hurt and its plain boring! Moonpaw sighed.

(She's only color blind..she see's everything gray)
ReplyDelete"Yeah, I'm fine," Moonpaw lied and stood up to face the deputy. "Any thing else that you need me to do?" Moonpaw asked, her voice dull as the gray earth she saw.

"I haven't gone out training with my mentor once," Moonpaw muttered, watching the ground. She hated feeling sorry for her self, but she didn't have friends nor could see color.

Clovermoon padded over to Sparrowfur. She had a big grin on her face. "Guess what?" She asked.
ReplyDelete"Really?Whos your mentor?"She meowed geting a little angery at whoever dident train moonpaw."I will surly tell them the need to."She meowed

Sparrowfur turned to clovermoon and loked at her with wide eyes."what?'He asked
ReplyDelete"I'm expecting your kits." Clovermoon's eyes glowed.

ReplyDelete"My mentor is Lightfoot," she sighed. Her ears pricked as she saw a mouse sitting on a tree stump, gnawing at a tiny seed. Her eyes narrowed with determination that she could catch this prey. She leaped at it, missed, and flopped to the ground. She watched the mouse run away and in despair, she cursed, "Fox-dung!" She slapped her paw against the ground hard, ashamed of herself.

Sparrowfurs eyes got wider."R-really."He asked,He was a little surprized he felt too young to have kits of his own.He was also wondering what Rosenight would thing of have grandkits.

Brookfrost looked at Moonpaw and meowed..."I'll have a talk with him but for now i can teach you to hunt."Brookfrost meowed

ReplyDeleteClovermoon grew a little sadder as she saw her mate's reaction. "I'm sorry if you don't want it, but I can't help it now." She lashed her tail, getting angry. "If you're not ready for it, then sorry, but it's happening, and they're nothing you can do!" She spat at him. She turned around, lashed her tail, and stalked off.
Brookfrost nodded.then started to elpalin and give examples."Okay?Got it?'She asked when she finested

Moonpaw did her best job remembering the series of steps Brookfrost showed her. "I think so," Moonpaw murmured, deep in concentration.

"Clovermoon!"Sparrowfur raced after her."I dident say i dident want them i was just surprized."He meowed.He tried to calm down his mate with a surprizing amout of kindness

ReplyDeleteVictor woke to see Gingerfrost sleeping next to him. He smiled. He padded out into the forest. He came back a few minutes later with a rabbit.
Moonpaw scanned the forest and saw some branches from a thick bush move. She narrowed her eyes and crouched low to the ground. Her legs screamed in pain from being so close and low to the ground that she wasn't used to. She slowly crept up to the bush, almost silent, and pounced into the bush. The prey, a vole, scurried out of the bush and started sprinting. Moonpaw sprinted off after it, thudding close behind. As she thought she got close enough, she pounced on it, and killed it instantly. But she kept on rolling with the vole in between her claws, and as she got beside a river, she stopped, but the vole fell into the river. "NO!" Moonpaw cried out.

ReplyDeleteGingerfrost woke to find victor.She still wasent used to being with him,she missed her clan she frownned for a momment the contiued eating at mouse she caughte the night before
Brookfrost ran to moonpaw voice."MOONPAW!!"She Yelled because she thought the aprrentice had gotten hurt."Moonpaw."She yelled after finding the aprentice."you scared me hafl to death."She meowed
ReplyDeleteMoonpaw watched the vole sink to the bottom of the lake. She sighed and looked up at Brookfrost. "Sorry," she stood and started licking smeared mud off of her fur.

Brookfrost saw the vole and jumped into the water dived down and grabbed it."Here" she meowed and put it by Moonpaw's paws."No ponit in wasting it" she meowed

ReplyDeleteGingerfrost turned to victor."Victor."she meowed."I think ihave to go back to my clan."She meowed.The night before she fonud out she was haveing Victors kits."Its only because i think im haveing kits."She meowed."and i need my clan."She meowed."We can still be mates though."She meowed and nuzzled him.
Crescentpaw cheered along with the others.

Moonpaw dabbed her paws on the vole. She looked up at Brookfrost. "It's soggy," she sighed.

"hey Cherrypaw." said Mousepaw causally "So, areb't you excited to finally be apprentices?"
ReplyDeleteWhirlstorm touched Mousepaws nose as she led him off the moss stone and once they where tangle in the crowd of cats Whirlstorm left Mousepaw to talk to cherrypaw. She turned around and padded toward cloudtooth as said "Wow, i didn't think id already have an apprentice!"

ReplyDeleteGingerfrost Looked down."I just have too there my family."She meowed
Brookfrost looked at Moonpaw."Just eat it."She meowed."Voles tast good when there went anyway."
Whirlstorm smiled and sat beside cloudtooth as the bustling crowd of cats dispersed.

Clodtooth turned to Whirlstorm."You know your really pretty."He meowed swettly.
ReplyDeleteWhirlstorm turned to Cloudtooth and blushed. (can cats even blush? lol) "Thank you." She meowed as she licked his cheek and walked away.

ReplyDeleteWhirlstorm looked back at cloudtooth to see him bouncing around in excitment, she smiled silently to herself as she continued to pad over to Minnowsong.
"Yeah!" Cherrypaw agreed, her heart racing.

ReplyDelete"Me either." Cherrypaw mewed, and ran around in a circle.
ReplyDelete"Where is Whirlstorm anyway do you know?" meowed the young cat curiously.
ReplyDelete"I don't know." Cherrypaw shrugged.
ReplyDelete"hmmm." Mousepaw glanced around and bounded over to minnowsong and asked "Do you know where Whirlstorm is?"
ReplyDelete"No, she went hunting." Minnowsong mewed. "But you better stay in camp, don't get any ideas." She added.
ReplyDelete"ha! You know us apprentices so well!" Mousepaw smiled eagerly at the tabby cat.
ReplyDeleteMinnowsong smiled and padded off.
ReplyDeleteMousepaw sprinted toward Cherrypaw. "She is out hunting, but she'll be back soon." he said. "i suspect that we will be given some chores though."

ReplyDeleteMoonpaw gaged at imagining the soggy vole in her mouth. But the deputy told her to do so, so she did. She started chewing it, shutting her eyes in disgust. She swallowed and looked up at Brookfrost. Her face showed a disgusting aftertaste.

Mousepaw padded amlissly around the clearing. 'i wonder where the other apprentices are?' he thought still wandering bored as ever.
ReplyDelete"Brookfrost I'm tired; I'm going to go back to camp," Moonpaw murmured. She left the deputy and padded back to camp. She looked around the clearing.

Mousepaw saw a light grey tabby pad into camp. "Hi im mousepaw!" the tom said as he bounded up to meet the she-cat
ReplyDeleteMoonpaw immediately recognized that Mousepaw was one of the new cats to the clan. She smiled, flashing her ivory white teeth. "The name's Moonpaw," she meowed.

Mousepaw grinned at the she-cat and said "I hope we can train together sometime. oh and your fur is pretty." Mousepaw looked intently at the apprentice awaiting a response.

Brookfrost notice Shadowfrost."Hi."She meowec before jumping at a squirrle and killing it witgh a swift bite to the neck,She droped it in the snow so she could talk

ReplyDelete"Sure!" Shadowfrost padded beside her. He sat down beside Brookfrost and nosed the prey to her. "You get the first bite."

"I've been in the clan for a while," he meowed as he took a bite from the squirrel. He chewed it slowly and looked back up at her. "I actually haven't had a home before with no parents. I raised myself."

"Shadowfrost i know youve been in the clan i have to know that."She meowed."How'd you raise your self?'she meowed and looked at him as if he was crazy."Dident you at least stay with them for a while?'She asked
ReplyDelete"All that I remember is seeing my parents once when I was just born, after I opened my eyes for the first time," SHadowfrost muttered. "But the next day they left me, so I did everything by myself."

"groom you fur."She meowed the smiled and walked to a tree an started hunting.
ReplyDelete"Okay mom," Shadowfrost muttered with a soft hiss. He stood up and left back to camp. He went into the warriors den and settled down in his den. Why would she tell me to groom my fur?

Momments later brookfrost retered to camp with nothering she settled at the antrace to camp to graud.She shivered then sighed.After sitting there for momments she when to the warriors den and settled at the front so she could see the camp,her back to shadowfrost though she wanted to talk to somecat
