"Icewing." he replied, setting down his catch and exiting quickly.
"What was that all about?" Pounceheart meowed, but Icewing shook her head. "Look, Jaystar's making an announcement."
"Cats of MossClan, gather to hear this announcement!" Jaystar called. "Today, we welcome six kits into apprenticeship. Snowkit, please step up." He watched the kittens leap over to the front. "Snowkit. From this moment on, until you recieve your warrior name, you shall be known as Snowpaw. Your mentor will be Seamist." He let the two touch noses. Then he continued on to name the other apprentices. Nightpaw's mentor was Mousetail, Spottedpaw's mentor was Cherrycloud, Willowpaw's was Blossomglow, Duskpaw's Smokestep, and Tinypaw's was Hollyfeather.
"Also, Minnowpaw deserves to become a warrior. Come up here Minnowpaw." Jaystar looked down at the she-cat. "I, Jaystar, leader of MossClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn.
"Minnowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, to defend and protect your clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Minnowpaw meowed bravely.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Minnowpaw, from this moment on, you shall be known as Minnowstream. StarClan honors your logic and understanding, and we welcome you as a full warrior of MossClan."
Minnowstream! Minnowstream!
Spottedpaw looked up at Cherrycloud,happy to have been given such a great warrior as her mentor."What are we going to do now?"she askes,nearly jumping up and down in her exciment,as she looks up at her mentor curiously.
ReplyDeleteLeopardpelt smiled proudly as she watched her daughter.I just hope she doesn't get into to much trouble before she becomes a warrior.She thought worriedly.She looked over at Whirlstorm and Ivorypool."Are you two happy to be getting back to your warrior duties now?"she askes smiling.
Pounceheart smiled,as he cheered with the rest of his clanmates.Then he looked back at Icewing,"It's nice to see Minnowsong finaly made a warrior."he commented.
"Well, I think we'll be touring the territory with Mousetail and Nightpaw." Cherrycloud meowed, turning to her mate. "Is that okay?"

"OH, yes!" Ivorypool's eyes gleamed. "I didn't even get to be a warrior before this!" She had been taken by a rouge and forced to have kits when she was still an apprentice. She got her warrior name while nursing her kits. She looked over at her kits. "I can't believe how big they are!" She laughed.
"Yes, it is." Icewing purred. "Let's go say hi!"
Spottedpaw smiled and looked at Mousetail hopefuly.I can't wait to see our territory!She thought.
ReplyDeleteLeapordpelt noded and laughed softly,"I know what you mean.It seems like just yesterday,that i was playing hide and seek with her outside our den in the forest."Leapordpelt's smile softened as she remembered how she'd played with her kit in the den they'ed shared before joining the clan.
"Alright."Pounceheart mewed and stood up.
Ivorypool smiled as she watched her kits bouncing about. "I wish they could stay kits forever."

ReplyDeletePineheart then remembered the greeting between Icewing and Swiftclaw. ".... Was that the one that hurt you?"
Swiftclaw nodded."Yeah" He said. He didn't bother looking at Icewing, it would just make him upset and he didn't want to seem weak.
ReplyDeleteShe touched his pelt with her tail then figured he needed some time alone, and went to the warriors den.
ReplyDelete"See you later okay?" She meowed behind her shoulder and stepped into the den, to get some rest.

Whirlstorm meowed, "Yes! I have been itching to go hunting for so long now! I wish they would stop growing so fast though. What happened to my little kits?"
Wolffur padded over to Minnowsong and purred, "Congrats, you are finally a warrior
