"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Moss Stone for a clan meeting!" Jaystar watched the cats gather, then spoke. "Today two cats named Seamist and Jaysky are joining our ranks. Please make them feel welcome. Also, keep a lookout for the apprentices." Jaystar jumped down.
Pouncepaw pushed Icepaw up into the bucket, and swiftpaw caught her and lay her down. The four shivered and looked up as the bucket rose.
"Finally, we're free!" Crowpaw meowed excitedly as the bucket rose above the well.
"Look out, twoleg!" Swiftpaw screeched, jumping away from the bucket and into the trees.
"Come on!" Pouncepaw nudged Icepaw up, and they sprinted off.
"What now?" Icepaw asked as she padded over to the others.
Crowpaw blinked slowly. "We find our way home."

Jaysky flattened his ears slightly as he looked around at all the unfamiliar cats.
ReplyDelete'I hate being the newbie...' he thought to himself. At least he wasn't the only one this time. This time there was a she-cat that was new here, too. He took some comfort in that, but it was still unsettling to look around and see nothing but strangers.
Seamist looked around happily. After being on her own for most of her life, she had found a place where she would have a stable routine. Not knowing any of the cat's except for Jaysky, she sat and worked at a burr in her fur. Eventually she would learn all of the cats. There were just so many.
ReplyDeleteBlossomglow padded over to Jaysky. "Hello." She meowed to the tom.
ReplyDeleteJaysky looked at Blossomglow, then behind him and to his left and right.
ReplyDeleteThere was noone around him that she could be talking to.
"um... hi." he mewed unsure of himself. "whats your name? I'm trying to match up names and faces..." he fumbled, eventually trailing off in defeat.
"I'm Blossomglow." Blossomglow meowed. "I understand what you're feeling. I came as a kit a long time ago, and it was hard to recognize everyone."
ReplyDeleteWolffur glanced at Cresentpelt as she went to greet the new cats. She couldn't work up the courage to tell him how she felt. "Hey!" Wolffur greeted Seamist.
ReplyDeleteWhirlstorm sighed as her kits raced under her paws to play in front of the nursery. "I can't wait until they are apprentices." She thought out loud.
Mousetail blinked at Cherrycloud and called to Blazepaw, "Would you like to do some battle training?"
Runningpath looks towards the new members curiously,worry for his little brother nagging him a little.

Leapordpelt lay down beside the nursery in some sunlight,she watched as Whirlstorm's kits raced out of it and smiles softly.
Spottedkit looked up from where she'd been sitting boredly as Duskkit,Willowkit and Tinykit raced out of the nursery.She smiles and pads over to them.
Icepaw shook her head sadly. "I'm just tired. I wish we could sleep."

ReplyDeleteSeamist looked up at the she-cat heading towards her. "Hello! What's your name?" she asked, happy someone was coming to talk to her. She hated being the new cat, the outsider.
ReplyDeletePoucepaw blinked sypethicaly tawards her,and then looked at the others."Maybe we'd be better off taking a little time to hunt and get our bearings then."he suggested.
ReplyDeleteSpottedkit looks at Willowkit and smiles."Hmm..we could play a prank on someone."she suggested.
Jaysky nodded his understanding. He hadn't expected someone to already be talking to him. Let alone a she-cat.
ReplyDelete"So... maybe you could show me around?" he ventured, getting over the whole newbie business.
"Alright." Icepaw mewed.
ReplyDelete"Sure!" Blossomglow padded toward the warriors' den. "This way!"
Jasky follows her.
ReplyDelete"right behind you." he mewed with a smile.
Poucepaw looks at Icepaw,"Do you want someone to stay with you?"he askes,glancing quickly at her most lickly broken leg.
ReplyDelete"I'm Wolffur. Don't worry you have it easy, I was a rouge before I joined and everyone kept thinking I would eat them for the first moon since the rouge group i belonged to had just attacked." Wolffur laughed and sat down next to Seamist.
ReplyDelete"totally! But who..." Willowkit looked deviously at her denmate.
Spottedkit looked around the clearing michiviously."Hmm.."
ReplyDelete"Better than I was. Nobody wanted a loner, not even the rouges. Last group I tried to join wanted to kill me, and Star left, that's when I met her." Seamist pointed to Nightpelt, sitting nearby washing her pelt. "Hopefully that doesn't happen again."
ReplyDeleteRunningpath looked over tawards an unfamiliar she-cat.Pushing poucepaw to the back of his worries,he pads over to her."Hello,i'm Runningpath."he mews,indroducing himself with a smile.

ReplyDeleteIt's alright," the tom meowed. "I'll show you to Jaystar."
This tom was really nice.... "Thanks."
He dips his head,"Fallow me."he mews and leads the way tawards Jaystar.
ReplyDelete"Trust me, the cats here are hospitable and won't try to kill you unless you betray us." Wolffur assured her.

Mousetail fidgeted with his tail as he thought about Cherrycloud. 'She is hard to like, she pushes me away, but I can't stay away...' He pondered. He glanced at her and took a deep breath, grabbed two mice from the kill pile, and padded over to her. "Have one," Mousetail placed a mouse in front of her and stuttered, "Cherrycloud, I... um I can't stop thinking about you and want to know if you... would be.. my uh, mate?"

Willowkit's eyes lit up, "how about my dad?" She flicked her tail and Cloudtooth who was sitting with Whirlstorm eating fresh kill. "We could ambush him!"

ReplyDeletePoucepaw,suddenly remembering that they weren't alone,teared his gaze from Icepaw and looked tawards the others.
ReplyDeleteSpottedkit looks tawards Cloudtooth and Whirlstorm."How are we going to get past Whirlstorm though?"she askes.
Icepaw blushed. She pulled away from the tom and looked down at the ground, not wanting to look at Swiftpaw and his probably smoldering eyes.

Clovermoon stumbled into the clearing where her daughter and Pouncepaw sat. "Oh, thanks StarClan you're alright!" She pelted toward her daughter, then covered her with licks. "What happened to your leg?"
"It broke. But Pouncepaw is helping me, isn't that right?" Icepaw looked over at Pouncepaw with admiration.
Pouncepaw noded and felt his ear tips turn red.He smiled and looked tawards Clovermoon."Should i go fetch the others?"he asked her.

ReplyDeletePoucepaw flicked his ear,and bounded in the derection the others had taken.He returned with the others soon after.He paded over to icepaw,and looked over at Clovermoon.
