Jaystar leaped onto the Moss Stone. He didn't need to call everyone together, they were already there. "I am better now, thanks to the amazing work of Greymist." He purred. "Also, a few rouges are joining us. Wolf, Mint, and Dew (if thats ok with amber). Your new names are Wolffur, Mintglow, and Dew___." He touched noses with each of the she-cats.
"Also, some less cooperative rouges will be staying in camp due to injuries, which Greymist wants to fix. They are Feather and Thunder." Jaystar flicked his tail to a brown tabby she-cat with frost blue eyes and a young light grey tom. The tom was standing behind the lying down she-cat, glaring at every cat, while the she-cat flexed her claws, but was obviously in no condition to fight.
"Finally, Ashpaw is back, with a friend. Ashpaw was captured by twolegs and his friend, Freckle, is the daughter of Sapphirewillow. Freckle will be staying with us overnight to mourn for her mother. And, since his siblings have become warriors, Ashpaw must also.
"Ashpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Ashpaw's eyes glowed with excitement.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Ashpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Ashflame. StarClan honors your loyalty and helpful nature, and we welcome you as a full warrior of MossClan." Jaystar smiled as he named the excited tom. "That is all!"

Ivorypool padded out of the nursery with Snowkit and Nightkit at her sides (they had opened their eyes). She nuzzled Ashflame, calling his name, then went over to sit in the sun.

Clovermoon watched Icekit play with the other kits.
Cherrycloud grabbed a mouse from the freshkill pile.
Firepaw and Blossompaw shared a thrush.
Icekit pounced on Swiftkit.
Ashflame smiled to all the cats, then went over to Freckle.
Gingerfrost padded over to Clovermoon."did you notice how often Swiftkit and Icekit play together?"she asked

Freckle had tears in her eyes.She looked at her mother, hated and rage filled her body.she didn't even notice Ashflame
Clovermoon shrugged. "I guess so."
ReplyDelete"Eww thats a girly name!" Icekit whined, wriggling away from Swiftkit. "Your name is Swiftpetal!" She giggled.
Ashflame sighed. He pressed his pelt to Freckle's. "It's ok." He whispered.
Gingerfrost rolled her eyes.she padded back into the nursery to feed Hollykit,blazekit,and Vinekit.

Freckle turned to Ashflame.She dug her nose into his fur letting her the love she hadn't given to her mother to him.
"I want a name with 'ice' in it!" Icekit complained.
ReplyDeleteAshflame purred sadly. He licked the top of Freckle's head, even though he was younger then her.
Fine!then Iceclaw!"He meowed
ReplyDeleteFreckle purred triing to seem happy.She turned from her mother and looked at ashflame."whats it like in a clan?"she asked
"YAY!!!" Icekit purred. "And you're Swiftflame!" Icekit mewed.
ReplyDeleteAshflame shrugged. "Good. You're never alone, even when something bad happens." He ducked his head awkwardly and continued. "And if you're sick, old, injured, or expecting kits, you will still be fed by us, and you will be taken care of by our medicine cat." He paused.
Swiftkit shook his head."No i'm swiftstar! leader of Mossclan!"He meowed

"No fair!" Icekit wailed, then paused. "Well, I'm deputy then!"
ReplyDelete"Wow." Ashflame's eyes widened. "That would never happen here. Even in times of crisis, we care for each other."
Feckle just sighed she saw the sun comming up."I'd better go, Sapphire's bowl and collar must be burried."She meowed starting to head out of camp.She could still smell ashflame arond her and wished she could stay.

ReplyDeleteFreckle turned back one more time than ran as fast as she could.Tears streaming down her face.'I can't see Ashflame.'she thought to herself.'he's a wild cat.And i can't love him either!'she thought once more.
ReplyDeleteLilac (a kittypet) saw Freckle running back to her twoleg house. "What's wrong?" She meowed, leaping over to her friend's garden.

ReplyDelete"WHAT?" Lilac exclaimed. "Sapphire's dead?" She sat down, her head dizzy. "How? And who is this wild cat? Don't trust him, he'll eat you! Remember the stories that Silver used to tell us?"

ReplyDeleteLilac growled at the clan, then at the tom. "That 'clan' is evil! And that cat, the one with the strange and idiotic name, that cat can go eat some fox dung and die. In fact, all of his 'clan' can!" She lashed her tail.

ReplyDeleteFeather laid in the medicine cat's den, eyes narrowing at the entrance. Stupid clan cats. There was a mouse in front of her and she just glared at it. She refused to eat a mouse, clan caught.

Brookfrost raise an eyebrow."Sure you can take.."she thought

Fireclaw padded in, nodding to Greymist, then turning to the others. "We need you to move to a makeshift den just outside." he meowed. "that way we can see you better."
ReplyDeleteAshflame thought. "How about Cloudtooth and Cherrycloud?"
Brookfrost nodded."Sure.I hope your not planning anything Ashflame,so I'm trusting you."she meowed and turned away
ReplyDeleteThunder pricked his ears and stared at Fireclaw for a while and then turned to Feather.
ReplyDeleteFeather saw the ginger tom who attacked her and she slightly growled. "We need you to move to a makeshift den just outside. That way we can see you better." he meowed and Feather stood up. She said nothing, giving him a cold stare, and walked out, slightly limping.
Thunder turned to Fireclaw and then quickly chased after Feather.
Ashflame nodded. He got Cloudtooth and Cherrycloud, and set off. He watched the twoleg dens until he saw Freckles. "You guys go on, I'll catch up to you." He meowed, falling back. Then he padded out into the open, right below Freckle.

ReplyDeleteFreckle jumped down from her fence."Ashflame, umm..hi."she meowed looking around to make sure no cat was comming
ReplyDeleteFeather gave Fireclaw another cold stare and then walked in the den. She had nothing to do with that tom and she wanted to more than ever, rip those light green eyes out.
ReplyDeleteThunder hesitated before following Feather in. He knew Feather didn't want to join the clan, but to be honest. He found that herb-den-thingy interesting.
"What's wrong?" Ashflame asked.

Thunder saw Feather's back to the entrance and looked at Fireclaw. "W-What was that- that den back there?" he asked in a quiet voice.
ReplyDelete"Nothing"Freckle meowed."How's your sister and Sapphire?"she asked trying to hide her feelings to the tom.
ReplyDeleteWolffur approached Cresentpelt and looked into his intriguing silver eyes. "I'm Wolffur, Would you like to share some kill with me?" She gestured to the vole at her paws and looked back at him, taking in his strong sinewy body and letting her eyes soften slightly.
ReplyDelete"That's the medicine cat's den." Fireclaw explained. "And Greymist is our medicine cat. She takes care of all injured cats...but you saw that."
ReplyDelete"My sister is great!" Ashflame purred. "Her kits are beautiful! And Sapphire..." He paused. "She was buried yesterday. She's with StarClan now."
Thunder hesitated before speaking. "W-What would happen if Greymist... was gone?" he asked, choosing his words carefully.
ReplyDeleteFeather slightly opened an eye, listening to Thunder and Fireclaw's conversation.
Freckle nodded."cool."she meowed she shuffed the ground with her paws.
ReplyDelete"Well, I hope that Greymist would have an apprentice by then, because she would need a successor. That other cat would become medicine cat." Fireclaw meowed.
ReplyDeleteAshflame looked at his paws. "Well, bye then."
Freckle stared at him for a momment the looked away."right..um...bye."she meowed turning away, her eyes already filling with tears
ReplyDeleteAshflame sighed. "Uh..." he started. "Do you want to...um...would you like to..join our clan?"
ReplyDeleteThunder found this interesting. "So what does the medicine cat do? Do they fight?" he asked.
ReplyDelete"No, but they heal clan mates who have fought and have gotten injured, or ill cats." Fireclaw paused. "But they also need at least SOME battle training, of course."

ReplyDeleteFeather then stood up and glared at Thunder. "Thunder! We could care less then what these stupid clan cats-" she glanced at Fireclaw. "-would do." she growled.
ReplyDeleteThunder remained quiet, but inside, he was thinking. He looked up at Fireclaw and back to Feather. Maybe I can join... Feather can't stop me. he thought.
Graymist entered the makeshift den, her pale green eyes widening as she took in the situation. She moved towards Feather, but stopped when the she-cat gave her a ferocious look and a snarl. She then turned towards the smaller cat, a tom. "Do you mind?" she mewed as she set aside the herbs she'd need. "You look like you have a nasty cut right there," she said, gesturing to his flank with her tail. She scooped up the herbs in her mouth and began to chew.

ReplyDeleteFireclaw saw the glint in the tom's eyes. "MossClan will always welcome you...if you are kind to US." he saw the scornful look on Feather's face. "Note, we are healing you." He gestured to Greymist, and stepped aside.
Freckle smiled."I would love to Ashflame."she meowed and ran to him and nuzzled him.

"I-I-" Ashflame stuttered.
Lilac swiped at Ashflame.
"Lilac!"Freckle meowed and ran towards her friend."Lilac!Calm down!He's not trying to hurt me!"she meowed
ReplyDelete"What?" Lilac snarled. "That's not what you said yesterday! You called him a wild cat, and you agreed that him and his clan are evil!" She spat, then rounded on Ashflame. "GET OUT!" She yowled.
ReplyDeleteAshflame looked at Freckle, hurt flashing in his brilliant blue eyes. Then he turned and raced into the forest.
Freckle opened her mouth to yell to Ashflame, but she stoped turned to Lilac."You...You..you piece of fox dung!"She snarled.
ReplyDelete"Excuse me?" Lilac growled. "YOU piece of fox dung! You're the one who was about to go off with some wild cat!"
ReplyDelete"But that's what I wanted to do!"She hissed."You've never been to the forest, Rember when we where kits and i said let's go to the forest?You said no.I had to sneak out that night to go see!Its so fantastic!But you wouldn't know."she hissed."Your too scared to go, but I'm not Lilac,and you can't hold me back!"She growled and ran after Ashflame.

ReplyDeleteAshflame padded sadly back to his patrol. "Hi." he meowed weakly. They finished their patrol and went back to camp. Ashflame padded out into the forest. He found the secret pond, and sat there watching the water.
Freckle ran behind Ashflame not noticing him by the pond.Her reflection shone in the water.

ReplyDelete"Freckle!" Ashflame jumped up and ran after her. He tackled her from behind, then got off and looked at her. "Why are you here?" he asked coldly.
